NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE CHANCES OF WINNING A PRIZE. SWEEPSTAKES IS OPEN TO LEGAL RESIDENTS OF, AND CURRENTLY RESIDING WITHIN, THE CONTINENTAL U.S. (EXCLUDING RESIDENTS OF MARYLAND AND NEW JERSEY), WHO ARE 21 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER AT TIME OF ENTRY. VOID IN MARYLAND AND NEW JERSEY, OUTSIDE THE CONTINENTAL UNITED STATES AND WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW.
Sweepstakes Period: Mobil Delvac Racing Sweepstakes (the “Sweepstakes”) begins on April 1, 2008, and will end June 30, 2008 (the “Sweepstakes Period”).
- How to Enter: During the Sweepstakes Period, there are three (3) ways to enter: Visit a participating Petro Truck Stop and 1) complete an official entry form, while supplies last; 2) Hand-print your complete name, address (NO P.O. BOXES), city, state, zip code, daytime phone number (with area code) and email (optional) on a 3" X 5" card, and deposit card into the entry box provided. To enter without visiting a participating Petro Truck Stop, hand-print your complete name, address (NO P.O. BOXES), city, state, zip code, daytime phone number (with area code) and email (optional) on a 3" X 5" card, and mail entry with proper postage affixed to: Mobil Delvac Racing Sweepstakes, P.O. Box 1977, Danbury, CT 06813-1977. ALL BALLOT BOX ENTRIES MUST BE DEPOSITED BY MIDNIGHT ON JUNE 30, 2008 TO BE ELIGIBLE. Mail in entries must be postmarked by June 30, 2008 and received by July 7, 2008 to be eligible. All mail-in entries must be mailed in separately. No mechanically reproduced, illegible, incomplete, forged or altered entries will be accepted. Limit three (3) Sweepstakes entries per person and per household for the entire Sweepstakes Period, regardless of method of entry. Entries received from the same person or household after the first three entries received from that person or household will be void. All entries become property of Sponsor and will not be returned.
- Eligibility: Sweepstakes is open to legal residents of, and currently residing within, the continental U.S. (excluding residents of Maryland and New Jersey), who are 21 years of age or older at time of entry. Employees of Exxon Mobil Corporation (“Sponsor”), Marketing Drive, LLC, Petro Stopping Centers, L.P., NASCAR, Inc., participating sponsors, and their respective parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, retailers, distributors, suppliers, advertising and promotional agencies, and any other individuals engaged in any way in the development, production, printing, distribution or execution of this Sweepstakes, and their immediate family members (spouse, parent, child, sibling and their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside) and those living in the same household of each such employee, whether or not related, are not eligible to enter or win a prize. Void in Maryland and New Jersey, outside the continental United States and where prohibited by law. This Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws.
- Prizes/Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”): One (1) Grand Prize: a trip for winner and one (1) guest to a NASCAR sanctioned race (to be determined by Sponsor) in 2008. Trip includes round-trip coach air transportation from a major U.S. gateway airport nearest winner’s residence (as determined by Sponsor) to race location for winner and one (1) guest, three (3) days and two (2) nights hotel accommodations (one (1) standard room, double occupancy) (room rate and room tax only), two (2) tickets to the race, a two (2) day mid-size car rental, and $1,000 spending money for the winner only (awarded as a check). (ARV: $5,000). Actual value may vary based on point of origination. If winner resides within a 150-mile radius of location of race, ground transportation may be provided in lieu of air transportation and no compensation or substitution will be provided for difference in prize value. Car rental subject to winner and/or trip participant holding a valid U.S. driver’s license and qualifying as an eligible driver under applicable car rental company policy (including the attainment of age 25) and other rental car company terms and conditions. Car rental does not include gas, tolls, parking fees, collision waiver insurance, or any other related fees and is subject to car rental company terms and conditions. Any difference between the stated ARV and actual value of Grand Prize will not be awarded in any form. All costs and expenses associated with prize acceptance and use not included in the prize description above as being provided (including, but not limited to, all federal, state and local taxes, fees, gratuities, meals, tips and insurance) will be the sole responsibility of the winner. Winner and his/her guest must travel together on the same itinerary and must depart from and return to the same airport. Trip details are subject to availability, travel restrictions and are at sole discretion of Sponsor. Flight schedules are subject to change without notice. Released Parties (as defined below) are not liable for any expenses incurred as a consequence of flight cancellation/delay. Winner and his/her guest are responsible for securing all necessary travel prerequisites, including identification. Winner and his/her guests may each be required to provide a credit card at the time of hotel check-in to cover, among other things, incidentals and other expenses incurred that are not included as part of the prize. Winner and his/her guest may also be required to sign a waiver. Grand Prize travel is tentatively scheduled to take place in 2008. Winner must travel on dates specified by Sponsor or prize will be forfeited and Sponsor will have no further obligation to such winner. Travel arrangements must be made through Sponsor’s agent on a carrier of Sponsor’s choice. Tickets are subject to terms and conditions specified thereon. Winner and guest must comply with all venue rules and regulations. Failure to do so may result in forfeiture of such portion of prize. Location of seats will be determined by Sponsor. By participating and accepting Grand Prize, winner and his/her guest represent that they understand that travel, whether by plane, automobile, or other conveyance, or by foot, and in the air, contains some inherent element of risk of accident, illness, injury, loss or death, which may be caused by negligence, forces of nature, or other agencies, known or unknown. Winner and his/her guest represent that they recognize that such risks may be present at any time before, during and after the trip. In the event race is cancelled for any reason, no compensation or substitution will be provided; however the remainder of the prize package will be awarded and Sponsor will have no further obligation to winner. Five (5) First Prizes: Two (2) tickets to a local 2009 NASCAR race of winner’s choice (from a list to be determined by Sponsor and subject to availability). Location of seats will be determined by Sponsor. Tickets are subject to terms and conditions specified thereon. Winner and guest must comply with all venue rules and regulations. Failure to do so may result in forfeiture of such portion of prize. (ARV: $400) In the event race is cancelled for any reason, no compensation or substitution will be provided. Twenty-five (25) Second Prizes: a Mobil Delvac Branded Bomber Jacket (size: S; M; L; XL; XXL or XXXL) (ARV: $200). All prize details are at Sponsor’s sole discretion. Total ARV of all prizes: $12,000. Prizes are awarded “as is” with no warranty or guarantee, either expressed or implied by Sponsor. Limit one prize per household. No transfer, cash equivalent or substitutions except by Sponsor in its sole discretion who reserves the right to substitute a prize (or portion thereof) with one of comparable or greater value. All federal, state and local taxes and all other costs and expenses associated with prize acceptance and use not stated herein as being awarded are the winners’ sole responsibility.
- Drawing/Odds of Winning: Potential winners will be randomly selected on or about July 9, 2008 from among all eligible entries received during the Sweepstakes Period, by an independent judging agency, whose decisions are final and binding in all matters relating to this Sweepstakes. Odds of winning a prize depend on number of eligible entries received. Potential Grand and First Prize winners will be notified via overnight mail and/or phone and will be required to execute and return an affidavit of eligibility, a liability release and, where legal, a publicity release, within five (5) days of date of issuance or prize may be forfeited and, at Sponsor’s discretion, awarded to an alternate winner. Grand Prize winner’s guest will be required to execute and return a liability/publicity release prior to issuance of travel documents and within the specified time frame as a condition of participating in prize trip, must be 21 years of age or older and provide positive identification showing proof of age. If a prize notification is returned as undeliverable or in the event of noncompliance with these Official Rules or if Sponsor is unable to contact a potential winner within a reasonable time period, prize may be forfeited and, at Sponsor’s discretion, awarded to an alternate winner. First and Second Prizes will be awarded within 6-8 weeks from sweepstakes drawing.
- General: By participating, participants agree (a) to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor and judges, which are final and binding in all matters relating to this Sweepstakes; (b) to the use by Sponsor and its designees, of their names, cities and states of residence and likenesses for advertising, promotional and other purposes in any and all media now or hereafter known throughout the world in perpetuity without additional compensation, notification or permission, unless prohibited by law; and (c) to release, discharge and hold harmless Sponsor, Marketing Drive LLC, Petro Stopping Centers, L.P., NASCAR, Inc., participating sponsors, and their respective parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, retailers, distributors, suppliers, advertising and promotion agencies, and any other individuals engaged in any way in the development, production, printing, distribution or execution of this Sweepstakes, and the respective directors, officers, agents and employees of the foregoing (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from any liability, claims, losses and damages arising out of, or relating to, their participation in this Sweepstakes, and the acceptance, use, misuse or possession of a prize (including any travel or activity related thereto). Released Parties are not responsible for lost, late, stolen, damaged, inaccurate, incomplete, misaddressed, illegible, mutilated, undelivered, delayed, postage-due or misdirected entries or mail, including lost or stolen entry boxes or for mechanical, technical, printing, typographical, human or other errors relating to or in connection with the Sweepstakes, including, without limitation, errors which may occur in the administration of the Sweepstakes, the processing of entries, the announcement of the prizes, the cancellation of any NASCAR sanctioned race or in any Sweepstakes-related materials. If for any reason this Sweepstakes is not capable of running as planned due to tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, or any other causes which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Sweepstakes (or any portion thereof), Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual (and void his/her entry) who tampers with the entry process or who is in violation of these Official Rules, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Sweepstakes or any element thereof. Should the Sweepstakes (or any portion thereof) be terminated prior to the stated expiration date, notice will be posted and Sponsor may, at its sole discretion, conduct a random drawing to award the prize using all eligible, non-suspect entries received as of the action requiring such termination.
- Winners’ List: For the names of winners (available after July 31, 2008), send a self-addressed, stamped, business size (#10) envelope by July 31, 2008 to: Mobil Delvac Winner’s List Request, P.O. Box 282-W, Wilton, CT 06897-0282.
